Please see below for dates and details of what each month will cover.
STARTS 9/4/24 Intro to Ceramics: Month 1 we will explore Endless Creations’ main attraction, pottery, or as others call it, ceramics. Melissa will cover the start to finish of how a piece of pottery is made. The tools used to create the pottery piece and Melissa will cover all the different techniques Endless Creations uses. Stations will be set up, and demonstrations of each technique will get the painter excited to create their very own plate that will be fired in the kiln and returned to each child at the class in October.
10/2/24 Clay Day: Month 2 will be all about raw clay and the fun things that can be done! Melissa will dive into the pottery wheel and the ins and outs of how to “throw” your own piece. Each child will have a chance on the wheel to make a bowl and while waiting for their turn on the wheel others will be busy rolling out more clay to make a beautiful leaf bowl.
11/6/24 Handmade Plates: Month 3 we will be making your choice of either a round plate or a square plate from scratch using a technique called Slip and Score. These will not be your run of the mill plate and will be great for a holiday party showstopper or they will make a great gift!
12/4/24 Elves Wood Workshop: Month 4 will be all Holiday! Join us to make these cute Reindeer Boards and Napkin Art. We will spend time prepping our boards by learning all about sanding and sanding paper, wood stains and how to apply the stain to the wood and bow and antler making. Did you see the Napkin Art? Did you know you could adhere napkins to wood for the most darling decoration! We cannot wait to show you our tricks!
1/8/25 Snowman Canvas: Month 5 we will discover Canvas Painting. Join us to make a fun Snowman Painting step by step with Melissa. Melissa will cover the differences with painting with acrylic paints along with other mixed media to make a wonderful wintery scene.
2/5/25 Valentine’s Heart Mosaic: Month 6 we will dive into mosaics! Join us to make a fun Valentine’s heart as we learn start to finish how to safely break the pottery, assemble in a shape and grout around our mosaics.
3/5 Everything Egg Multi Stations: Month 7 is our Hoppy Easter celebration. We will have multiple stations allowing the kids to explore many different ways of painting and dying eggs. We will have ceramic eggs, hard boiled dying eggs, regular Easter eggs that we will draw on, stick stickers and dye. We will also have a special chicken visitor.
4/2 Terracotta Pot with rock garden: Month 8 is jumping us into spring! Each child will get a terracotta pot to paint and we will turn the pot into a beautiful rock garden.
5/7 Mother and Father’s Day Gifts (*** We will be extending our time for this session***): Month 9 is a surprise for our Moms and Dads or a special someone in the child’s life. The kiddos will learn 2 new skills today but we are not going to spoil the secret! We will need the kids longer 10-? And then we will be having a potluck end-of-the-year celebration.
Snow Day Policy: In case of inclement weather, we will try to reschedule classes for the following day, weather permitting. If your schedule doesn’t allow for the snow day Endless Creations will do all they can to reschedule for you.
